Email and SMS Marketing Automation for Local Businesses
Your past customers already know you. But a list sitting in a spreadsheet does nothing, and a badly built one can get your email blocked or your texts reported.
We set up the system that sends welcome messages, seasonal reminders, and "it's been a while" notes to your own customers. It handles consent and opt-outs from day one.
Starting at $490 setup plus $290 per month. The first year costs $3,970.
What you get
| Part | What it covers |
|---|---|
| List and consent check | Where each contact came from and whether you can email or text them |
| Sign-up and consent wording | Forms and text-in keywords with clear consent language |
| Sender setup | Your sending domain authenticated (SPF and DKIM) so mail is identified as yours |
| Templates | Email layout with your logo, plus short text templates |
| Automations | A welcome series, a seasonal reminder, and a win-back message. The count is set in your quote |
| Opt-out handling | Unsubscribe links in every email and STOP handling in every text, applied to all lists |
| Monthly report | Messages sent, opt-outs, replies, and bounces |
Platform fees and per-message text fees are listed in your written quote.
The process
- Scoping call. Your customer list, how contacts joined it, and what you already send.
- Consent check. We sort contacts into "can message" and "cannot yet."
- Setup. Sender domain, templates, forms.
- Test. We send to test addresses and phones first.
- Launch and report. Small first sends. Then we read the opt-out and bounce numbers.
The rules your messages must follow
We build to these public rules. This is not legal advice. Ask a lawyer about your own situation. Rules change, so check effective dates.
| Rule | What the source says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Honest headers | From, To, Reply-To, and routing information must be accurate | FTC CAN-SPAM guide |
| Honest subject lines | The subject line must reflect the content | FTC CAN-SPAM guide |
| Say it is an ad | Disclose clearly that the message is an advertisement | FTC CAN-SPAM guide |
| Postal address | Include your valid physical postal address | FTC CAN-SPAM guide |
| Opt-out | Explain how to opt out and honor requests within 10 business days. No exception for business-to-business email | FTC CAN-SPAM guide |
| Penalty and outsourcing | Up to $53,088 per violating email. Hiring another company does not contract away your legal responsibility | FTC CAN-SPAM guide |
| Gmail senders | Set up SPF or DKIM and keep spam rates below 0.3%. Senders of 5,000 or more messages a day also need DMARC and one-click unsubscribe | Google email sender guidelines |
| Marketing texts | Telemarketing texts sent with an autodialer need prior express written consent | 47 CFR 64.1200 |
| Text opt-out | Replies such as stop, quit, end, revoke, opt out, cancel, or unsubscribe revoke consent. Requests must be honored within a reasonable time, not over ten business days | 47 CFR 64.1200 |
Most local businesses send far below 5,000 messages a day. The basic authentication still applies.
Worked example: what the first year costs
First-year cost = $490 + ($290 × 12) = $490 + $3,480 = $3,970.
How many extra jobs would that take to pay back? It depends on your profit per job. These profits are examples.
| Profit per job (example) | Extra jobs needed in 12 months |
|---|---|
| $70 | 57 |
| $140 | 29 |
| $250 | 16 |
Divide $3,970 by your own profit per job and round up. Compare the answer with how many past customers you have.
What we do not promise
- Open rates, replies, or revenue. We have no published results for this service, so the first months work as a pilot. We report your own numbers.
- Inbox placement. Mailbox providers decide. Authentication and low complaint rates help. They cannot promise delivery.
- Legal clearance. We build consent capture and opt-outs. We do not give legal advice.
- Messages to people with no consent. We do not send to contacts that fail the consent check.
FAQ
Can I email and text my old customer list?
Email and text follow different rules, shown in the table above. The consent check sorts your list first.
What happens when someone replies STOP?
They are marked as opted out and removed from future texts. The rule sets ten business days as the outer limit.
Which email platform do you use?
We pick it with you based on list size and cost. Fees appear in the quote.
Does this send missed-call texts or follow up on web forms?
No. Those are separate services. This page covers messages to your customer list.
Do I need the monthly plan?
Setup alone gets you running. The $290 per month covers upkeep, changes, and reports.
