Review Request Automation for Local Businesses

You finish a job. The customer is happy. Then everyone gets busy, and nobody asks for a review. We set up a message that goes out after each job, with a direct link to your Google review page, sent to every customer, not only the happy ones.

Starting at $490 setup plus $290 per month.

This is a small, fixed service. We have no client case for it yet, so we make no claim about how many reviews you will get. We report how many requests went out and how many people opened the link.

What you get

Item What it means
Trigger A request goes out after a job is marked done, or from a list you upload
Message One short text or email in your own words, with your direct review link
One reminder A single follow-up if the customer has not responded, timing set by you
Stop rules No reminder after a reply, a review, or an opt-out
Reply drafts Short, polite reply templates for positive and negative reviews. You post them
Monthly report Requests sent, link opens, and opt-outs

The $290 monthly fee covers sending, fixing the setup when a connected tool changes, and the report. The exact scope is set in your written quote.

The process

  1. Pick the trigger. When does a job count as done in your tools?
  2. Get your review link. We use your Google Business Profile review link.
  3. Write the message. You approve it before anything sends.
  4. Test. We send to our own numbers and emails and check every stop rule.
  5. Run. You get the monthly report.

What you may and may not do

Review rules are public. We build the version that follows them. This is general information, not legal advice.

Practice Allowed? Source
Ask every customer for a review Yes. Google allows asking for content that represents a genuine experience Google Maps user-generated content policy
Ask only customers who seem happy No. Google lists selectively soliciting positive reviews as a violation Google Maps policy
Send a link that discourages negative reviews No. Google lists discouraging negative reviews as a violation Google Maps policy
Offer a discount or gift for a review No. Google bans incentives in exchange for reviews Google Maps policy
Reward only positive reviews No. The FTC rule bars incentives conditioned on a particular sentiment FTC Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, 16 CFR Part 465
Tell the customer what to write No. Google says do not request that specific content be included Google Maps policy

So our message is neutral: it asks for honest feedback and gives the link. There is no filter step, and no gift.

What it costs over a year

Our arithmetic: $490 plus 12 months at $290 is $3,970, or about $331 per month. We cannot say what a review is worth to you. Our report counts requests and link opens, and nothing more.

What we do not promise

FAQ

Is a review link allowed in a text?

Yes, if the customer agreed to receive texts from you. See the consent rules on our lead follow-up page.

Can you send to a customer list I already have?

Yes, if those customers dealt with you and agreed to be contacted. We check your list format first.

Which review sites do you cover?

Google first. Other sites are added only if their own rules allow the request. Your quote lists what is included.

Who answers the reviews?

You do. We give you drafts so replies take a minute.

What if a customer replies with a complaint?

The reminder stops, and you see the reply. Handling it is your call.
