AI Readiness Audit: Where AI Could Save Your Team Time
You've heard about AI chatbots, automated workflows, and AI assistants. Which of them would help your business, and which would waste money?
An AI Readiness Audit answers that. We look at your current workflows, find the tasks that eat the most staff time, and estimate what automating each one would cost and save. You get a ranked list: quick wins you can start on right away, and bigger projects that need more setup.
No sales pitch attached. The audit is a report, and what you do with it is up to you.
Starting at $990, one time.
What you get
- Workflow review of the processes you pick: scheduling, lead follow-up, data entry, customer questions, and similar
- Time and cost estimate for each process, using your own hours and wages
- AI opportunity table: process, possible tool, rough cost, estimated time saved
- Quick-wins list: changes you can make with off-the-shelf tools
- Roadmap ranked by impact and effort, from a small pilot up to a full rollout
- Onboarding call to walk through the findings
How we put a price on your time
Every process has a labor cost. We estimate it with one formula:
Value of a recovered hour per year = hourly wage × 52 weeks
Then: break-even hours per week = audit price ÷ value of one hour per week for a year.
The table below uses real average wages from the Bureau of Labor Statistics for Lackawanna County, PA. These are averages for all employees in each industry, not office-staff wages. Swap in your own numbers.
| Industry (NAICS) | Avg. weekly wage | Avg. hourly (÷ 40 h) | 1 hour/week recovered, per year (× 52) | Hours/week to cover $990 in 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roofing contractors (23816) | $1,195 | $29.88 | $1,554 | 0.64 |
| Plumbing and HVAC contractors (23822) | $1,286 | $32.15 | $1,672 | 0.59 |
| Electrical contractors (23821) | $1,643 | $41.08 | $2,136 | 0.46 |
| Dentist offices (621210) | $1,163 | $29.07 | $1,512 | 0.65 |
| Professional, scientific, and technical services (541) | $1,393 | $34.83 | $1,811 | 0.55 |
| Computer systems design (5415) | $1,819 | $45.48 | $2,365 | 0.42 |
Assumptions: a 40-hour week, 52 paid weeks, private employers only. The last column counts only the audit price. It leaves out the cost of the tools and setup you would buy afterward, which we estimate in your report.
Example with the professional-services row: if one task costs your team 3 hours a week, that's 3 × $1,811 = $5,433 a year at that wage. The 3 hours is an example input, not a result.
What the audit looks at for each process
| Question | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| How many hours a week does it take? | Sets the cost |
| Is it repetitive and rule-based? | These tasks automate well |
| What happens when it goes wrong? | Sets the risk level |
| Which tool could do it? | Names the option and its cost |
| Who has to review the output? | Shows how much time you save |
Types of solutions the audit can recommend
- Simple tools: email filters and templates, scheduling and reminders, form-to-spreadsheet automation, a basic FAQ chatbot
- Connected workflows: CRM with automated follow-up, no-code automation between your apps, a customer service chatbot
- Custom work: an AI agent built around your processes, automated reporting, or links between your CRM, accounting, and scheduling systems
We don't claim past results for these. The audit tells you which type fits, so you don't pay for more than you need.
FAQ
What counts as a good candidate for AI?
High-volume, repetitive, rule-based tasks. Good fits: appointment reminders, follow-up emails to new leads, copying form entries into a spreadsheet. Poor fits: complex negotiations, relationship-building, and specialized technical work that needs judgment.
What if we use free tools like ChatGPT instead?
That works for one-off tasks and drafts. For work that repeats every day, a connected tool removes manual steps. The audit compares both options for your processes.
How much does implementation cost?
It depends on the tool and the process, so we put a figure on each recommendation in your report. The audit price covers the analysis only, not implementation.
Do we need to hire a developer?
Not for most simple tools and connected workflows, which can run on no-code platforms. Custom AI work may need development, which we can quote separately.
What if the AI makes a mistake?
Each recommendation in the report includes a risk note covering accuracy, security, and what happens when the tool fails. For higher-risk processes we suggest a small test before a full rollout.
